A time to be grateful
I transform cloth treasures from loved ones (or yourself!) into throw pillows, quilts, wall decor & stuffed toys
Cherished Memories: Sew Many MemorieZ specializes in upcycling clothing or fabric into a precious keepsake: Shirt and/or tie throw pillows, original wall decor, quilts, T-shirt quilts and "stuffies" for all ages! These are wonderful ways to remember passed loved ones and keep their memories close.
Passing on Memories: Preserving a memory is priceless and a rewarding way to repurpose clothes that you still love, but can no longer use: precious infant clothes outgrown way too soon, a stained or ripped blouse or shirt, team and school t-shirts. With your materials and dreams, we'll create a unique and tangible keepsake or gift!
NOTE: Making treasures is not a quick process! When ordering, please consider that some projects can take up to a month to complete and ship.
Missing my late husband and parents led me to think about ways to preserve their memories, then I saw an article about making pillows from loved ones' clothing. I've since made pillows for my children, grandchildren, brother-in-law, nephews, and myself using my husband's shirts and ties. Even my granddogs love them! I started Sew Many MemorieZ to share the comfort my family and I receive every day from these pillows. But preserving memories is not only for those we've lost; they're for all of the parts of our lives we want to remember. I've since made two T-shirt quilts for my daughter with her high school, college and work T-shirts and a quilt for myself using T-shirts from the various charity races and functions I've attended (though I gave my singlet from the half-marathon to my youngest grandson :). There are so many ways to make a memory from clothing, baby blankets, well-loved stuffies.... Any cloth item can be made into something that will make you smile (and sometimes have nostalgic tears) and be grateful for the memories!

My husband and I aways dreamed of starting a small business after retiring--we just didn't have exactly the same dream! He wanted me to bake and sell vegan cookies and I wanted to sew. Baking cookies required a hot kitchen and lots of taste testing; I started sewing because it's relaxing, lasting and absolutely nonfattening!

It works beautifully with ties (shown above) and almost any cloth. They can lean on a shelf or hang on a wall. Quilting Tiles can be personalized and embellished with beads, sequins and ribbon.
Because this method eliminates sewing and quilting, the turnover time is faster.
Hint: Remnants from other projects work perfectly for tiles (great for matching wall decor and pillows). When both are purchased, there's a 15% discount on the tile)

I don't like eating at the table alone so I sewed up a bunch of bowl cozies for myself! I made this T-shirt quilted wrap with t-shirts commemorating charities races I've done (and even one my husband did) and some to raise awareness of difficult diseases. I put 1" shashing between the shirts and borders using a pretty material that matches my living room. Instead of using batting and a cotton backing like a traditional quilt
I made this T-shirt quilted wrap with t-shirts commemorating charities races I've done (and even one my husband did) and some to raise awareness of difficult diseases. I put 1" shashing between the shirts and borders using a pretty material that matches my living room. Instead of using batting and a cotton backing like a traditional quilt, I used a neutral fleece, with minimal to no hand quilting. Traditional quilts call for batting and a fabric backing. These materials are included, but there is a charge for the outside border required to attach the three pieces (front, batting, back) neatly together.
